Although at the first look it looks very, very strong and negative – it’s the complete opposite. This design of a skull is a Mexican (Sugar) Skull. In Mexico, there is a special holiday - the Day of the Dead. This is a very popular celebration where families get together to make skulls out of sugar or candy.

These skulls stand for the celebration of life. These very artistic skulls are known as Calavera, which in Mexican means simply “skull”. They represent a certain soul that has left the living ones, and with this skull, they hope the spirit of that person will visit them.

The folk art on them is very beautiful, playful and magical.
